New Toys

Well, it has been a while since my last update. Progess on Simple Cheats has been stalled for a while, and will continue to be until a few other projects get done. One of them is a project for one of my jobs, it is a inventory management system to be used with barcode scanners. That will take most of my free time.

As the header suggests, I have a few new toys to play with. Expect a review on them sometime in the future ;) Here is a little info on them:
1)My new Creative Labs Zen Micro MP3 player. I have the 5 GB Green model, and so far this device works like a charm. Battery life is good, song playback quality is excellent as well. Few things that could be better: the FM tuner doesn't pick up much, and the voice recorders' microphone is located very close to the harddrive of the MP3 player and so picks up the noises made from it. Other than that though, it is a good product.
2)This one I am very proud of It is an ECS 536 AMD SEMPRON 2600 Notebook. I had to upgrade a few things from the standord laptop. Here are my current specs:
-60 Gigabyte hdd
-512 MB total RAM
-1.6 Gigahertz processor speed
-15" TFT display
-4 USB 2.0 ports
-WAN (802.11 b/g)
-LAN
-modem
-touchpad
It is a lower end laptop, but I don't care that much. It is pretty fast for my needs. The only problem though is that its battery claims to last around 2.5 hours, but I find that it my last around an hour or so, but I didn't expect much from it. This computer will be replacing my Windows ME computer, so the low end laptop is really a high end compared to it.

[edit]Well, during the weekend I calibrated the battery. Since then, I've noticed that my battery has lasted about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on type of usage. I seems to charge rather quickly as well. Also, my specs are may not be 100% accurate, but they are relatively close.
